A structured box clutch with a woven Paithani panel on the front, a gold-tone top handle and a chain to wear it on the shoulder. Design

• Front panel: Paithani woven panel on a gold-tone base, with a parrot (popat) on one side, a peacock (mor) on the other and a striped motif in the centre.
• Body: art silk (semi silk) in the colour you choose. The panel is the same on every colour.
• Frame and clasp: gold-tone metal frame with a crystal-stone clasp on top.
• Two ways to carry: hold it by the curved gold-tone handle, or wear it on the shoulder with the gold-tone chain.
• Shape: rigid box clutch that keeps its shape, with room for small essentials such as cards, keys and a lipstick.
• Weight: about 300 to 400 g.

Styling tips

• Let the saree lead: pick a clutch colour that already appears in the saree's border or pallu, or a clear contrast such as red with green.
• The gold-tone frame and chain go best with gold jewellery.
• With a heavily worked saree, keep the clutch simple; with a plain saree or a Paithani lehenga set, let the clutch be the statement.
• Wear it on the chain when you need both hands free, for garba or for greeting guests.

Care

• Store it wrapped in a soft cotton cloth, away from damp and direct sunlight.
• Wipe the metal frame and chain with a dry cloth. Keep perfume and water away from the woven panel.
