About This Saree

A premium cotton Paithani from Yeola, the home of Paithani weaving, where we source from local karigars. Cotton Paithani keeps the classic Paithani look but is light and breathable, so you can wear it all day for pujas, festivals, Haldi, Mangalagaur, office functions and family events. The white body has small butis, a narali (coconut motif) border in gold-tone, a big butta on the shoulder, and a pallu showing rows of paired bird motifs in the traditional Paithani style on a gold-tone base, with bands of small leaf motifs on both sides. The pallu end has white tassels.

Pure cotton, woven on handlooms in Yeola, the home of Paithani weaving. It is light and breathable, good for long functions and warm weather.

What is a narali border?
Narali means coconut. The border has a row of coconut-shaped motifs, a classic Yeola Paithani border.

Is a blouse piece included?
Yes. The saree has a running blouse piece (unstitched) woven in the same length. Cut it off and give it to your tailor, or add our Blouse Stitching service.

How long is the saree?
It is a regular 6-yard saree with a running blouse piece.

Will I get the saree in the photo?
Yes, the white saree with the traditional pallu shown in the photo. Each piece is woven by hand, so small differences in the motifs are natural. The colour may look slightly different on your screen.
